She is survived by: her children, Walter Hobgood, Elizabeth Hobgood of Raleigh and Theresa Royster of Wake Forest; her sisters, Sandra Pemberton of Charlotte, Gwendolyn Jones of Charlotte and Janice H. Hart of Charlotte; and her grandson Isreal Joyner of Wake Forest.
