It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nellie Anne Parrish Clayton (Oxford, North Carolina), who passed away on August 31, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Lee "Bill" Clayton; her son Terry Lee Clayton; her sister Mildred Averette; her daughter-in-law Cindy Clayton; and also Diana Yancy.
She is survived by: her children, Harriet Shelton (Ronnie) of Greensboro, Stanley S. Clayton of Roanoke Rapids and Aubrey S. Clayton (Debbie) of Willow Springs; her grandchildren, Andy Shelton (Sarah), Sarah Risk (Mike), Rachel Shelton, Charles Clayton, John Clayton, Katherine Clayton, Hannah Clayton and Rebekah Clayton; and her great grandchildren, Adelaide Shelton and Lilly Shelton.
