He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Wayne Oakley and Madge Bowling; his son Danny Ray Oakley; and his siblings, Rachel McFalls, Wendy Gail Smart, Larry Oakley, Dale Oakley and Malcolm Oakley.
He is survived by: his daughter Samantha Johnson (Reggie); his significant other Susan Stone; his sisters, Judy Clayton, Mary Brown and Melinda Parker; and the mother of his children Donna Snead (Dean). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sossamon Funeral Home - Creedmoor (834 N Main St, Creedmoor, NC 27522). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Community Memorial Gardens (Stem, NC 27581).
