He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas L. Clayton. He is survived by: his mother Willie Ragland Clayton of Bahama, N. C.; his daughters, Shari Clayton of Hillsborough, N. C. and Aubrey Clayton of Durham, N. C.; his granddaughter Nadia Clayton-Jones; and his siblings, Barbara Clayton, Gwen Clayton, Sharon Clayton and Del Clayton. He is also survived by two nephews, one niece.
