She is survived by: her stepson Vanshelton Ray Umstead of Oxford, NC; her siblings, Corine A. Newbie of Roxboro, NC, Vanessa Daniel (Jonathan) of Oxford, NC and George Neal Newbie of Burlington, NC; and her sister-in-law Dr. Bridgette Coles-McAden of Durham, NC. She is also survived by two uncles, one aunt, several nieces, nephews, and friends.
