It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary S Umstead (Oxford, North Carolina), who passed away on December 4, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Reed Spencer and Fannie Bell Spencer. She is survived by: her children, Dennis Spencer of Oxford, Arthur O. Spencer of Oxford, Constance M. Spencer of Hephzibah, GA, Lisa S. Pettiford of Roxboro and Aretha R. Best of Oxford; and her sister Fannie Bell Wilson of Oxford. She is also survived by great grandchildren.
Both services will observe Covid-19 guidelines of face coverings and social distancing of six feet or more.
