She was predeceased by: her parents, Abner Thomas Cobb and Annie Lavinvia London Cobb; her sons, Brian Mitchell McGhee and George Rufus McGhee, Jr.; and her siblings, Lucille C. Cole, Elizabeth C. Ellington, Katherine C. Gooch, Nell C. Hodge Wiggins, Abner Bryant Cobb and James Earl Cobb.
She is survived by: her son Robert Thomas McGhee of Kittrell; and her sisters, Edith C. Owen of Raleigh and Patricia C. Finch of Wilson. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Granville County Senior Center, PO Box 1287, Oxford, NC 27565 or Oxford Baptist Church, 147 Main St, Oxford, NC 27565 for the music ministry.
