It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Clifford Abbott (Oxford, North Carolina), who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mahlon James Clifford and Louise Eastwood Clifford; her husband James Theodore "Dinky" Abbott; and her siblings, Ann Clifford Langston, Mahlon J. Clifford Jr. and John Albert Clifford.
She is survived by: her children, Angela A. Norwood (Danny) of Oxford and James "Jay" Abbott, Jr. (Sheila) of Port Republic, Maryland; her grandchildren, Beth Haithcock (Chad), Amanda Williams (Jerrol), Jocelyn Abbott and Ethan Abbott; her great grandchildren, Austin Haithcock, Avery Haithcock and Zack Williams; and her sister-in-law Bobbi Clifford. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
