She was predeceased by: her father James Currin. She is survived by: her mother Amy W. Currin; her husband Melvin Dixon; her son Henry Marshall Averette (Melissa) of Durham, NC; her sister Tanya Currin Faucette (Robert) of Oxford, NC; her grandchildren, Blake Averette of Creedmoor, NC, Dana Averette of Wilton, NC, Destiny Whitfield of Butner, NC, Johnathan Whitfield of Durham, NC and McKenzie Averette of Durham, NC; her great grandchildren, Hailey Egitto, Layton Averette and Mason Egitto; and her nieces, Amanda and Courtney Nunnamaker.
Hudson Funeral Home will be observing social distancing for the graveside service, and asks everyone in attendance to wear a mask at the cemetery.
