She was predeceased by: her father Elijah Brodie Beal. She is survived by: her husband Braxton John Carpenter; her son Robert Eugene Stokes Jr.; her granddaughters, Rebecca Michelle Stokes and Chloe Michelle Stokes; and her siblings, Margaret Parham, Brenda Williams, Faye Cooper, Teresa Noles, Ann Barker and John Beal. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
