She was predeceased by: her parents, John Neal Allen and Mabel Brooks Allen. She is survived by: her husband James Melvin Taborn; her daughter Pamela Harris (Leroy Harris); her granddaughter Brooke Harris of Henderson; and her siblings, Betty Wilcox, Lillie A. Jacob of Virgilina, VA, Minister Nathan Allen (Bertha) of Rocky Mount, NC and Robert Allen of Roanoke Rapids, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews; four nieces.
