She is survived by: her children, Quinten Chavis of Atlanta, GA, Darryl Chavis of Durham, NC, Clementine Rochelle of Raleigh, NC, Loreana Chavis of Durham, NC, Thomasena Wilson (Vann) of Creedmoor, NC, Avire Bullock (Joseph) of Stem, NC and Angela Jimerson (Arthur) of Durham, NC; her daughter-in-law Janet Chavis of Oxford, NC; her sisters, Sylvia Cherry of Chesilhurst, NJ and Catherine Hicks of Fayetteville, NC; and her sister-in-law Mary Chavis of Oxford, NC. She is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
