She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lee Egerton and Shirley Alston Egerton. She is survived by: her daughter Angela Walker (Clarence) of Franklinton; and her siblings, Patricia E. Cheatham of Louisburg, Lillie E. Rogers (Howard) of Franklinton, Willie Egerton of Newport News, VA and James Thomas Egerton of Raleigh. She is also survived by six grandchildren.
