He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson Dixon and Minnie Adell Gentry Dixon; and his siblings, Otis Dixon, Junior Dixon and Faye Dixon.
He is survived by: his children, Russell Dixon (Ronnie), Lisa Dixon Davis (Richard) and Anita Dixon; his grandchildren, Julie Davis Henderson (Jamie) and Kendall Davis (Ashley); and his sisters, Doris Russ (Vance), Shirley Dean and Marjorie Melton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
