He was predeceased by: his wife Ruthie; his daughters, Cathy and Crystal; his sister Sonja Rawls (Robert); his nephews, Joseph and Gerald; and his grandson Terran.

He is survived by: his children, Sharonda Weatherspoon (Charles) of Ewing, NJ, Lavelle III of New Brunswick, NJ and Michael of Raleigh, NC; and his sister Sandra Aultman-Smith (Johnnie) of Upper Darby, PA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
