Jose Manuel Hernandez Aguilera Obituary

Jose Manuel Hernandez Aguilera, 40, of Oxford, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. He was born to Mr. Hector Manuel Hernandez Aguilera and Mrs. Aurelia Aguilera Cruz on October 8, 1984 in Mexico.

Jose is preceded in death by his father, Hector Manuel Hernandez Aguilera.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 27 years, Mary Whirley, his mother, Aurelia Aguilera Cruz; his children, Antonio Hernandez, Maryann Hernandez, Rafael Hernandez, Robert Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, Hector Hernandez, Emily Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, and Isabella Hernandez; his brother, Rafael Hernandez and wife Viridiana Tarin; nieces and nephews, Natalie Tarin, Manuel Hernandez, Amparito Hernandez, Mary Hernandez, and Johana Hernandez and his mother and father-in-law, Robert and Rebecca Whirley.

Jose was employed with Wesbell Technologies in Roxboro for 10 years. He was a hardworking man who loved and adored his family. He was a provider for not only his family but also for his mother. He was a wonderful loving husband. Jose and Mary were married for 27 years and share 9 children together. He loved to get out and travel and just be out and about. He worked in landscaping with his oldest son, and did carpentry work as well as farming throughout his life. He worked closely with his brother Rafael and made sure he was taken care of. Jose was very respectful and will be missed tremendously.

No arrangements have been made at this time; however, a Memorial Service will be planned at a later date.
