He is survived by: his daughters, Sandra Kaye Watson and Ashley Nicole Watson Black (Sam) of Oxford; his adoptive daughter Angela Byrd of Roanoke, VA; his sister Lois W. Edwards of Roxboro; and his grandchildren, Julie Morris, Kayla Garrett, Emma Black, Faith Black and Seth Black.
