He was predeceased by: his parents, John G. Fitz and Lillian Dickerson Fitz. He is survived by: his children, John G Fitz, III of Salisbury, NC and Grayson K. Fitz of Raleigh, NC; his grandsons, Jax Fitz, Eric Fitz of Charlotte, NC and Brian Fitz of Raleigh, NC; his sister Sissie Wright (Sonny); and his nephew Mark Wright of Chase City.
