He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Norwood and Tempie Allen Norwood. He is survived by: his children, Jacqueline N. Bullock of Henderson, Julia N. Banks of Greenville, Elizabeth N. Harris of Laurel, MD, Joel Norwood, Jr of Raleigh, James Eric Norwood of New York, NY, Kelvin Norwood of Henderson and Reginald Norwood of Aberdeen, MD. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
