Though Janie may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Janie touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She is survived by: her daughter Lucy Hester Allen of Oxford; her granddaughter Adrienne Davis; and her nieces and nephews, George Hargrove (Felicia), Ronald Allen, Yvonne Hargrove, Janice Hargrove and Tressie Rooks. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, other relatives and caring friends.
