He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Young and Beatrice Strong. He is survived by: his children, James Maurice Young (Deirdre) of Olney, MD and Makita Magbie (Kenny) of Henderson, N. C.; his foster son Darry Thomas (Marie) of Oxford, N. C.; his sisters, Irene Fields and Alice Boyton of Philadelphia, PA.; and his sister-in-law Min. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
