We are sad to announce that on March 2, 2022 we had to say goodbye to James Otis Burnette (Oxford, North Carolina). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Zack F. Burnette, Jr. and Lillie Mae Blackwell Burnette; his daughter Debra Lynn Burnette; and his sister Janie Johnson (Chester). He is survived by: his wife Vera Schmit Burnette; his grandchildren, Courtney, Tiffany, Madison, Miles and Amber; his sister Vickie B. Ball (Butch); his siblings-in-law, Frank Schmit (Dottie) and Frances Howard (Jack); and his cousin Ronnie Burnette (Patricia). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family requests that all attendees wear appropriate face coverings and adhere to the safe practice of social distancing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in James's memory to Corinth Baptist Church, care of Guy Hiniker, Treasurer at 4054 NC Highway 96 S, Oxford, NC 27565 or to the charity of your choice.
