Though Ila may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ila touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucious Hawley and Martha Jane Hawley. She is survived by: her daughters, Nadine McNeill of Richmond, VA and Edith Jeffers (Edward) of Oxford. She is also survived by two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wright Funeral Home (3724 Salem Rd, Oxford, NC 27565). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the New Hope Granville Baptist Church (5643 Old Roxboro Rd, Oxford, NC 27565).
