He was predeceased by: his parents, Earlie Jefferson Yancey and Annie Leora Hobgood Yancey. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Barbara Wilmouth Yancey; his children, Jeff Yancey (Anna) and Kim Barnes (Eddie); his stepdaughter Von C. Talley (Dean); his grandchildren, Leland Yancey (Alex), Madison Yancey (Jenna), Zach Barnes (Maggie), Joseph Barnes, Isaac Talley (Helen), Jacob Talley and Jenna Williams (Ken); his great grandchildren, Bryce Yancey, Adley Grace Yancey, Savannah Yancey and Mac Williams; his pet Beau; his siblings, Wayne Yancey (Alice) and Virginia Ann Veasey As (Wayne); and his friend Grover. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Grassy Creek Baptist Church, General Fund.
