She was predeceased by: her parents, Coy Lester McGinnis and Beulah Dean Anders McGinnis; her children, Nancy Freels, Jerry Akers and David Akers; and her sister Charlotte Woullard.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Thomas Edwards Sr.; her stepchildren, Rose Frazier (Mack Collier) and Billy Thomas Edwards Jr. (Scarlett); her sister Shirleen Bolen (Jack); and her brother-in-law Jimmie Woullard. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews.
