He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence B. Wilkins and Catherine Blackwell Wilkins; his son Kevin Wilkins; and his grandson Jadyn Wilkins. He is survived by: his wife Anne Harden Wilkins; his children, George T. Wilkins and Sylvia Williams of Henderson; and his siblings, Bettie Lofton (William) of Roxboro, Clarence "June" Wilkins (Catherine) of Oxford and Willie Wilkins of Roxboro. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
