He was predeceased by: his parents, George Roy and Louise Knott Daniel. He is survived by: his siblings, Tommy Daniel (Janice) and Faye Chappell (Steve) of Oxford; and his nephews, Scott Daniel (Alicia) of Oxford and Chance Chappell of Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Granville County Animal Shelter, 5640 Cornwall Rd. Oxford, NC 27565.
