It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Anna P Chavis of Oxford, North Carolina, who passed away on November 9, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Parker and Fanny Ashe Parker; and her husband Leroy Chavis, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Howard Chavis of Oxford, Theodore Chavis (Addie) of Durham, James Chavis of Durham, George Chavis (Karen) of Durham, David Chavis (Gayzelle) of Durham, Samuel Chavis (Dionne) of Durham, Virginia C. Weaver of Creedmoor, Rose Chavis of Oxford and Jennette C. Wright of Oxford; her sister Rosa P. Booker of Oxford; her siblings-in-law, Howard Chavis (Sallie) of Dover, NJ, Franklin Chavis (Doris) of Newark, NJ, Marjorite Parker of Washington, DC and Barbara Chavis of Henderson; and her friend Madeline Ragland. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Services are limited to fifty people wearing facial coverings and observing social distancing of six or more feet PLEASE.
