She is survived by: her children, Michael Carter, Shelby Carter of Charleston, SC, Wilda Carter-Neville of Durham, Cynthia Wooster of Raleigh and Jamesena Lucas of Greensboro; and her sisters, Mary Foster of Henderson, Georgia Kearney of Thomasville and Gwendolyn Belk of Raleigh. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
