Ezzard C Hunt Sr. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ezzard C Hunt Sr. (Oxford, North Carolina), who passed away on January 14, 2021 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, C. D. Hunt, Sr. and Elowise Bowden; and his brothers, Ralph Hunt and Henry Hunt. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Allen Hunt; his children, Tammy Hunt (Lloyd) of Tuxedo Park, NY, Ezzard Charles "Chuck" Hunt II of Atlanta, GA and Sedric Jevon; his siblings, C. D. Hunt, Jr. of Durham, Ayesha Abdullah (Talib) and Ernestine Sampson (Roy) of Creedmoor; his grandchildren, JerMario Gooch (Aviance), Marquis Hunt, Saaliyah Soloman, Kahmari Hunt, Ciara Hunt, Audesi Hunt and JaVonna Skye Hunt; his great grandchild Aiden Jeremiah Gooch; his mother-in-law Louise Royster of Oxford; and his siblings-in-law, Ronald Royster (Sophia), Deborah Harris, Darlene Jones (Clarence) and Shirley Johnson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 18 at 12:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Randolph Moten and Rev. Dr. William C. Turner (Covid-19 protocol limits services to fifty attendees).
