Esther Terry Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 1, 2021, at the age of 85, Esther Terry (Oxford, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her sons, Ellis Thornton (Dicky Boy) and Joe Thornton; and her siblings, Flossie Bass, Hallie Allen, Nathaniel Thornton and John Thornton.
She is survived by: her siblings, Estelle Puryear (David) of Oxford, Geneva Harris of Oxford, Lue Perry (Elizabeth) of Henderson, NC and William Thornton (Sheila) of Oxford, NC; her aunts, Hattie Pettiford of Oxford, NC, Gracie Thornton of Oxford, NC and Ruby Thornton of Oxford, NC; and her close friends, Charles Thornton, George Evans (Bro), Angie Hawkins Fulcher, Antionette Braswell and Clara Evans. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
Remember to follow state and CDC guidelines, graveside service is limited to fifty (50) people and to practice social distancing of six feet along with face covering and good handwashing.
