She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Palmer and Mary Elizabeth Cheatham; and her husband James L. Gillis. She is survived by: her sons, Ricky Gillis (Yvonne), Jerry Gillis (Dianne), Rodney Gillis (Monique) and Michael Gillis (Tomika); and her sisters, Henrietta Palmer and Mary Elizabeth. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren. 19 great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren.
