He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Harris Compton; his daughter Linda; his son-in-law Bill Crute of Rock Hill, SC; his children, Bonnie Compton of Oxford, NC and Glen; his daughter-in-law Jan Compton of Gilbert, AZ; his grandchildren, Jennifer Hardy (Jason) of Ball Ground, GA, Will Crute (Rebecca) of Aynor, SC, Scott Compton of San Antonio, Ryan Compton of Wilmington, NC, Randall Swift of Richmond, VA, Jessica Kluger (Alex) of Atlanta, GA, Adeline Compton and Harris Compton of Gilbert, AZ; his great grandchildren, Spencer Hardy, Grayson Hardy, Evalynn Hardy, Julia Rose Crute and Mettauer Crute; and his sister Mary Lou Rash of Bullock, NC. He is also survived by his children and siblings.
