She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Downey and Mildred Ruth Cozart Downey; and her son Andre Downey. She is survived by: her daughter Latonia Downey of Henderson, NC; and her siblings, Donnail Downey (Cora) of Oxford, NC and Cheryl Downey Thomas of Kittrell, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, as well as a host of relatives and friends.
