It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Denny Hobert Lester Sr. of Oxford, North Carolina, who passed away on August 8, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mart Lester and Louise Hunt Lester; his brothers, Clark, Scotty and Charlie Lester; and his brothers-in-law, W. R. Keen and Jim Mullins.
He is survived by: his daughter Peggy Abbott (David) of Oxford, NC; his grandchildren, Demi Lester of Iaeger, WV, Nathaniel Abbott of Oxford, NC, Hunter Abbott of Oxford, NC, Isaiah Abbott of Oxford, NC and Landyn Abbott of Oxford, NC; his siblings, Sally Griffith (Lewis), Opal Mullins of Lindside, WV, Agnes Klayko of Ohio, Lacy Lester of Bluefield, WV, Ricky Lester (Connie) and Leon Lester (Linda); and his close friends, Bobby Shoemaker of Kentucky and Dr. Sam of Duke Regional.
Services will be held in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, mask are to be worn by all attending and social distancing is to be practiced.
