She was predeceased by: her parents, Malcolm Washington Matthews and Elba Spain Matthews; her husband Bob Laws; her granddaughter Lindsey; and her sisters, Jewel McKay, Rachel Browning and Fay Wilkerson.
She is survived by: her children, David Annis (Sheryl), Saundra Isabella Valencia and Carol Dietzman (Bruce); and her grandchildren, Candace, Melody, Lauren, Nicole, Jeffrey and Jonathan. She is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (2677 NC-56, Creedmoor, NC 27522). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
