We are sad to announce that on October 28, 2021, at the age of 66, Cornell Chavis (Oxford, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elame Chavis and Vanola Chavis (Green); and his siblings, Ike Chavis, Levi Chavis, Pamela Chavis (Taborn) and Yvonne Chavis (Ford).
He is survived by: his siblings, Floyd Chavis, Laverne Cearnel, Maxine Chavis (W. A.), Harold Chavis, Marie Chavis (Ronnie) of Butner and Gloria Chavis of Burlington; his aunts, Mary Harris of Oxford, Catherine Green of Creedmoor and Lorena Chavis of Durham; and his sister Lorraine Leggett of Dover. He is also survived by nieces, (7) nephews, (10) great nieces and (9) great nephews.
