It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cornelius Haskins of Oxford, North Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Brooks and Walter Venable; his former spouse Vernell Harris Haskins; his wife Rebecca Haskins; his daughter Vernell "PuPu" Haskins; and his great grandchild Aaliyah Haskins.
He is survived by: his children, Dorothy Bumpass (Edward) of Oxford, Wanda Haskins of Oxford, Tracy Haskins of Oxford, Linda Lewis of Oxford and Michael Haskins (Sherell) of Henderson; his sisters, Shirley Venable and Bobbie Lee Brooks of Red Oak, Virginia; and his siblings-in-law, Vertilia H. Thorpe and Elijah "Anderson" Sidney. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren.
