It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Catherine Hester Ragland (Oxford, North Carolina), who passed away on March 28, 2022, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Frank M. Thomas Hester and Alice Alberta Hicks Hester; her children, Alice Bernite Hester, Timothy Devon Hester and Joyce Ann Ragland; her stepchildren, Stephanie Ragland and Thurman K. Ragland; and her siblings, Joanne Downey, Vivian Downey, Dorothy Cozart (Bobby), Wanda Faye Hester, Iva Sydel Mulumba, Louise Bumpass (David), Frank Hester (Edna), Alton Hester, David Hester, Amos Hester (Wanda) and Curtis Hester. She was also cherished by seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
