He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Benjamin and Alma Brooks Adcock; his son Melvin Brent Adcock; and his siblings, Burley Benton Adcock, Matt Hobgood Adcock, Sr. and Mary Love Adcock.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peggy" Rudder Adcock; his son Billy Ray Adcock, Jr. (Vanessa); his daughter-in-law Kim Day Adcock; his brother Edward Nathaniel "Buck" Adcock (Cornelia); his siblings-in-law, Mary Catherine Adcock, Anita Adcock, Jeanette Morris (Carlyle) and James "Jimmy" Rudder (Tannis); his grandchildren, Daniel Adcock, Jared Adcock, Brooke Adcock, Jennifer Adcock, Meghan Adcock and Tiffany Jones (Houston); and his great grandchild Clara Jones. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
