She is survived by: her children, Patricia Newman of Chesapeake, VA, Effie Day of Chesapeake, VA, Eva Day Mason of Durham, Berdina Day Sneed of Creedmoor, Joseph Day of Pelham, Andrew Day of Durham, Theodore Day of Durham, Bob Day of Oxford, Arnold Day of Greensboro and Gary Day of Creedmoor; and her sister Annie Blackwell of Durham. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great grandchildren.
