He is survived by: his wife Gloria Thomas Puryear; his daughters, Lakisha Puryear of Fayetteville and Monique Foy-Gamble of Rolesville; and his brothers, Ronnie Puryear of Knightdale and Reggie Hicks of Oxford. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
