He is survived by: his wife Glenda Gail Ellington; and his siblings, Boyd Short (Erin) of Oxford, Jeffrey Short (Neal) of Oxford, Pene Short of Oxford, Sharon Short Williams (Randy) of Oxford and Missy Short Murry (Barry) of Cameron, NC..

Due to COVID restrictions the funeral service and burial will be private.
