It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice Alberta Hicks Hester (Oxford, North Carolina), who passed away on April 10, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her children, Frank Hester (Edna), Alton Hester, David Hester, Amos Hester (Wanda), Curtis Hester, JoAnne Downey, Vivian Downey, Dorothy Cozart (Bobby), Wanda Faye Hester and Ira Mulumba; her brother Leonard Hicks; and her brother-in-law Bishop James Hester. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren great-great- grandchildren, cousins and friends.
