It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Joseph Deptola of Otto, North Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Deptola, Sr. and Mary Deptola; his wife Irene Deptola; and his daughter Cynthia Deptola (Bella). He is survived by: his children, Walter Joseph Deptola, III (Koren) of Long Island, NY, Annise D. Fleckenstein of Otto, NC and Gina Deptola Coryell of Melbourne, FL; his grandchildren, Danee Kidd, Tuckerman Fleckenstein, Irene Coryell, Rebecca Coryell, Matthew Deptola and Jake Deptola; and his great grandchildren, Robert Joseph Nolan and Ayla Kidd.
