Orvin Glen Blekeberg Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Orvin Glen Blekeberg of Otto, North Carolina, born in Rugby, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 18, 2024 at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Blekeberg and Gertie Blekeberg (Gunderson); his sister Lois Larson; his brothers-in-law, Clifford Larson and Victor Iverson; his nephews, Scott and Doug Larson; and his in-laws, Henry and Selma Harmel.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Blekeberg (Atkinson); his children, Teri Ann Mears (Dwane) of Rugby, ND, John Atkinson (Terry) of Savanna, GA, Michael Atkinson (Pam) of Grand Forks, ND, Cory Atkinson of Rugby, ND, Kimberly Kuntz (Murray Pfau) of Rugby, ND, Nancy Blekeberg-Clare (PJ) of Seattle, WA and Rebecca Anklam (Bert) of Rolette, ND; and his sister Shirley Iverson (Blekeberg) of Minot, ND. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many wonderful friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Homes (119 3rd St SE, Rugby, ND 58368). A prayer will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (320 8th St SW, Rugby, ND 58368).
