He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Curtis and Georgia Ann Moffitt Curtis; his former wife Katherine Curtis; and his sister Teressa Curtis. He is survived by: his wife Kelley Solem Curtis; his son Brandon Curtis; his grandson Justin Hanson; his siblings, Floyd Curtis (Renee), Tommy Curtis (Jan) and Sandra Smith (Eddie); and his stepchildren, Jacob Trail, Amber Trail and Bradley Engebretson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
