It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lester Carpenter of Otto, North Carolina, who passed away on January 5, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Carpenter and Nora Belle McConnell Carpenter; and his niece Amy Carpenter. He is survived by: his fiancée Geraldine Ledford of Franklin, NC; his siblings, Janet C. Campbell (Ronald) of Otto and James Carpenter (Margaret) of Otto, NC; his nieces and nephews, Ava Ammons, Christofer Carpenter, Isaac Campbell and Erin Keener; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Teegan, Drew, Kylee, Abi of Asa, A. J. and Cayden; and his close friends, Mike and Danielle James.
