He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackson Lee "Jack" Blackmon and Margaret Jane Paul Blackmon; and his brothers, Jack DiMaggio Blackmon and Morris Lee Blackmon. He is survived by: his brother Joe Blackmon (Linda) of Orrum; his aunts, Zell Paul, Davis of Oklahoma and Mary Rozier Paul Walters of Lumberton; and his close friend Knox Stephens.
