With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jimmy Arnette Barnes of Orrum, North Carolina, who passed away on September 15, 2020 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Barnes and Katie Bullock Barnes; and his brothers, McHoyte and Charles Barnes. He is survived by: his sisters, Laura Ann Thorndyke (Sammy) of Orrum, NC and Betty Walters-Cribbs (David) of Calabash, NC; and his nieces and nephews, Kathy Bullard, Kayla Ward, Sammy Barnes, Sandy Thorndyke and Russ Thorndyke. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Bloomingdale Baptist Church.
